Step by step
From your first call to your last check
Every claim is different, but most follow this path. You'll know which step you're on.
- 01
Step 1: You call or write
Toshiro or someone at your nearest office asks what happened and how you're doing. It takes about fifteen minutes.
- 02
Step 2: We meet
At an office, at home or by video. A lawyer goes through your letters and medical records with you.
- 03
Step 3: We take it on
If we can help, we put the fee in writing. Then we tell the insurer we represent you, and the calls go to us.
- 04
Step 4: We build the record
Your case manager gathers medical records, pay stubs and witness names, and keeps you posted every two weeks.
- 05
Step 5: A judge decides, or it settles
Many claims are fixed without a hearing. If one is needed, your lawyer prepares you and goes with you.
- 06
Step 6: After the award
We check that the checks arrive and the treatment gets approved, and we stay on it if they stop.
What it costs
No fee unless the benefits come through
You don't pay us anything up front, and you don't pay a fee unless you receive benefits.
Our fee is a share of what you're awarded. The share is set out in a written agreement before we start, and in many places a judge must approve it. Case costs are separate from the fee: things like copies of medical records, a doctor's report or a transcript. We tell you which of those you might owe before you sign, and we never add a cost without telling you.

Pick up the phone, and we take it from there
Tell us what happened. A person reads every message and calls you back.
